Cosmo Energy Holdings announced it will build grid-scale battery storage stations on former service station sites in Matsuura, Nagasaki and Sendai, Miyagi, with combined output of about 4MW. Operations are planned to start sequentially from FY2027. The Matsuura project was selected for METI's FY2025 grid-scale battery deployment subsidy.
